I know FF7 is timed on Sony's side, but judging by the comments on this site in regards to JRPGs it doesn't sound like many MS fan would care or be bothered by that move in the slightest.įreshslicepizza 2611d am really trying to stick to my guns and not pick up RotTR (even though it is one of my favorite franchises) unless they add some significant new content at a reduced price. That said I'm hoping that this is the last vestige of old MS working through the system because I recall Spencer saying they aren't interested in timed deals moving forward after RotTR. Just can't support these practices and reward the people who make these backwards decisions. If they just release the base game for full price then ask for money from dlc, I'm most definitely going used, even though I'd love to be able to play the game, the sooner the better. I doubt that companies could fund a game even if they wanted to, because that would get tricky in terms of what they may own in regards to the game, then there's the whole idea of why would a company fully fund a game that they only stand to profit off of for a small window of time? I'm all for full console third party exclusivity, because those scenarios fully illustrate that the game wouldn't have existed otherwise, but the entire idea of timed exclusivity only amounts to some advertising costs alleviated. Timed exclusivity is money wasted from publishers & consoles that could be spent towards actual games instead of some intangible bragging is goodwill dashed by devs for their franchises, spurning an entire fanbase, and it is ulimately unfair to gamers to buy into a series based off of its multiplat status, only to have to wait for new installments for indeterminate amounts of time. ![]() ![]() Totally agreed.now sure how so many people can actually disagree w/ that sentiment.
